If you’re looking for a therapist who is warm, easy to talk to, and takes what you’re going through seriously without treating you like a problem to fix, you’re in the right place.
Many of the people I work with come in feeling overwhelmed, stuck in their head, or unsure if therapy will even help. Some have tried therapy before and didn’t feel fully understood. My goal is to create a space that feels different, one that is grounded, supportive, and genuinely human from the start.
I have been licensed for over 25 years and have seen it all. Nothing offends me and I bring my authentic self to every session. I don’t ask my clients to do anything I won’t ask of myself.
What it’s like to work with me
I take your experiences seriously, and I don’t make it feel like something is wrong with you or reduce you to a diagnosis. Instead, I focus on helping you feel heard, validated, and supported, while also building insight and tools that help you move forward in real life. Our sessions are not intimidating or overly clinical.
Yes, we do meaningful, deep work here. And when it’s appropriate, there’s also room for lightness, laughter, and humor. I work to be as authentic as possible in the sessions and hope you will feel the same. Bring your true self to therapy whether it’s sarcastic, humorous, anxious, or silly; let’s work together to heal. Therapy doesn’t have to feel rigid or miserable to be effective.
I often remind clients, “You’ve got this.” Not because things are easy, but because with the right support, clarity, and tools, you’re more capable than you may feel right now.
I’ve also been told I’m a good fit for people who don’t usually like therapy and I take that as a compliment!
What I Believe About Therapy
You have NOT failed
Anxiety, OCD, and feeling overwhelmed are not personal failures. I believe in meeting you with compassion, not labels, so you feel understood rather than “fixed.”
The relationship comes first
Therapy works best when you feel safe, supported, and genuinely heard. Building trust and connection early is the foundation for meaningful change. Be yourself in session, that includes using the language that you feel comfortable with-including those 4 letter words. Nothing you say will offend me, so let’s do this!
Change can feel supportive
Therapy doesn’t have to be rigid or miserable to be effective. There’s room for warmth, lightness, and even humor while still doing deep, meaningful work.
Insight and tools matter
Understanding what’s happening internally is important, but so are practical tools you can use in everyday life. Therapy should help you feel more capable, not more overwhelmed.
